Scott Shearer
Owner / Senior Stylist
Scott has been the proud owner of Shear Style Salon and Spa since its opening in 2008. He is a graduate of Rudy & Kelly Hair Academy in Virginia Beach with 11 years of experience in the industry. He continues to advance his education with classes from Schwarzkopf Professional and J Beverly Hills as well as traveling to cosmetology trade shows. Scott strives each day to provide our clients with exceptional services as well as providing outstanding customer service.
Bobbie Norcross
Bobbie began her training in high school while living in Germany and graduated from Hollywood Beauty College in Hawaii. After graduation she continued with Vidal Sassoon training. Bobbie’s creative style is one of a kind. She has a great passion for providing a quality service to all of her clients and loves to exceed their expectations.
Jonathan Hiatt
Jonathan has been a stylist for nearly 9 years and has built a strong clientele with his dedication and passion for hair. He received his training through an apprenticeship program and continued his education while working at an AVEDA salon. Jonathan is experienced in Schwarzkopf, Paul Mitchell and AVEDA color and has attended some of the world’s best training courses AVEDA has to offer. Jonathan is a versatile stylist who strives to not only meet but exceed expectations through his creativity and attention to detail.
Diana Poythress
Diana has been a cosmetologist for eleven years. Hair is her passion and over the years it has been a very rewarding experience to know, that she has the ability to make others feel more confident about their appearance. She is a Master Stylist specializing in hair color and continues to advance her technical skills with professional development courses. She has advanced training with such companies as Redken Fifth Avenue New York and L’Oreal Professional. She would love to give you a new look and would be happy to schedule a consultation with you to offer suggestions.
Sam
Sam hails from down under (Australia) and began her career as a hair stylist in 2006. Before joining the Shear Style team, she worked at an Aveda salon. While there, Sam attended several Aveda conferences and education classes to further her knowledge in the latest cutting and color techniques. By staying current with fashion trends and listening closely to her clients, she is able to make them look their best and ensure that the hairstyle enhances her client’s features.
Sam realizes your time is precious. Her flexible schedule will ensure that you’re able to book your appointment at a time that best suits your needs. Knowing that her clients will leave the salon looking and feeling their absolute best is her ultimate goal.
Ivonne
Ivonne is a highly talented stylist who has over 16 years of experience in the beauty industry. She was born and raised in Germany and is a graduate of the German school system where she successfully completed a three year rigorous Cosmetology program in 1997. After moving to the United States in 2002, she obtained her license so she could continue her passion of helping others look their best. Ivonne specializes in both men and women hair styles, coloring and highlights. She makes it a point to stay current with new trends and styles and enjoys building lasting relationships with her clientele.
Ann-Marie
Ann-Marie, a senior stylist with 9 years of experience, strives for perfection with every client she meets. She received her education from The Aveda Institute of Charlotte. Since then she has worked for Aveda salons in Tampa and in the Tidewater area while also continuing her education with classes to fine tune her skills. Ann-Marie’s mission is to help each client to achieve their desired look and feel great about themselves from every day to their wedding day. Her creativity shines through with her coloring, cutting and special occasion styling.
Micheline
Micheline grew up in a salon learning the trade from her mother at a young age. She has been a stylist for twelve years and has a passion to make others feel beautiful. Being prior military, she lived in Tampa and worked as a stylist at a Redken salon learning more about the business and obtaining more education . Color is her passion and being able to show her creative side and bring her ideas to life on each client is truly rewarding.
Becca
Becca has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry. Before moving to Virginia 12 years ago, she owned her own salon just north of Detroit, Michigan. She worked at an Aveda salon for over 7 years as a master stylist and color educator, while continuing her own education to advance her creativity.
Becca loves making her clients happy by listening to their needs and wants in their hair styling request, giving the full attention they need to ensure their satisfaction with every return visit.
